All the Pledgers ganging together in times of sadness.

Nanny Seaside, as my nan is known (she lives in Clacton), suffered a stroke a few weeks ago. She regained her strength well but hasn’t made it out of hospital. Yesterday she was given a place at a nursing home. Half an hour after she went rapidly down hill. She is now back on a ward in a side room, her organs are shutting down, she has no drip, no monitor, just morphine. It’s just a matter of time. She had five boys. Four are still alive and kicking. We are all here, hand holding. She’s 93 years old. She’s a wonderful woman.
